CAMBRIDGE RESIDENCE

Developed in collaboration with The Architect Studio, Cambridge Residence explores the transformation of a period home through spatial planning, materiality and a carefully considered interior language.
MFR contributed to the interior concept development across the principal living spaces, kitchen, bathrooms and transitional areas, shaping a sense of continuity throughout the home and considering how each space relates to everyday rituals, movement and use.
The design process extended into material and FF&E curation, developing palettes of finishes, joinery, lighting, furniture and fixtures as a coordinated design layer. Particular attention was given to the relationship between existing architectural character and new interventions, using proportion, texture and material contrast to create a contemporary interior that remains connected to the identity of the house.
Across the project, spatial studies and visual references were used to establish a coherent direction for the interiors, from the social heart of the kitchen to the quieter private and transitional spaces.
