The Floating Table

The Floating Table Residence is an interior architectural project for a private home in Höngg, Zürich, focused on redefining the spatial experience of the residence and improving the quality of everyday living.

The work includes the refinement of layout strategies, the integration of architectural elements and the coordination of key design features such as the staircase, fireplace, façade expression, patio and green roof. Each intervention was developed to strengthen the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, creating a more fluid and cohesive architectural language throughout the home.

At the heart of the project, the floating table acts as a quiet architectural gesture — a suspended surface placed against a vertical rhythm of wall panels, bringing function, lightness and proportion into the circulation space. Rather than standing as a decorative object, it becomes part of the architecture itself.

The project also involved the development of material and façade concepts, including timber cladding systems and high-quality surface selections, ensuring that interior atmosphere, exterior expression and architectural detail work together as one continuous experience.
